Hibbing Intl of New Castle , In. was established in 1990 to initially supply friction materials to our parent company, Midwest Brake of Warren, Mich. Midwest is one of the largest consumers of industrial friction in North America. Since Midwest was having problems getting a consistent quality product they decided to establish their own manufacturing facility.
The Hibbing facility is equipped with a complete R & D lab to facilitate the development of new compounds and maintain batch to batch consistency of our products. A pilot plant and Chase machine are also available for product development.
Although we were established to supply Midwest, we found that others were also looking for better performance and batch to batch consistency, therefore, we decided to make our products available to both OEMs and the after market.
Our growth since since our inception has proven the need for a new supplier. Time and time again we hear that we are the friction material supplier who listens to the customer. Due to market acceptance our family of compounds has grown to cover most any application. We have put the emphasis in the development of our compounds to come up with formulas that exhibit long life, are kind to the mating members, and quite all while being competitively priced.
Unlike many non-asbestos friction materials Hibbing materials are dense and void free. All of our production is scanned by ultra sound.
Whether you need a simple ring, a piece of sheet stock, or a complex gear tooth facing Hibbing can fill your requirements. When it comes to bonding we have the resources of our parent company Midwest Brake the largest brake bonder in the world.
At Hibbing we want to earn your business by providing the best service, quality, and technical support in the industry.
